Dear Selection Committee,
I write to support the application of Connie Galambos Malloy to the Citizens Redistricting Committee.
I first worked with Connie in 2007, and have been in contact with her in a professional capacity since then, in her different positions as she has been promoted by her employer, Urban Habitat. In all of our work together, Connie has been thoughtful, detail-oriented and very responsive.
When I first began working with Connie, she was coordinating a coalitions of nonprofits in the Bay Area. She had to bring together busy people who worked on varied issues and find a way to help them collaborate together for a common purpose. That experience will help her on the Redistricting Commission, where she would be working with other commissioners from different backgrounds, and have to come to consensus on complicated issues.
Every time I have reached out to Connie for advice on a particular issue, she was prompt, helpful and professional. She is smart and easy to work with. Connie is clearly committed to a career of improving the lives of all Californians, and I think she will make an excellent contribution to the Citizens Redistricting Commission.
