Since arriving and settling in Ventura County in 1985 I began to hear about Dr. Gabino Aguirre’s dedication as an able educator and someone to know. Since meeting him I found him to be an excellent listener and keenly analytical before rendering comments. He has a great reputation of being involved in his community through volunteer services with non-profit CBOs serving the underserved members of the community. He posseses an innate ability to be impartial and analytical. In conversations with him found him to be extremely aware of the geographic and demographic diversity in our state. These attributes plus an accumulation of much experience in several sectors of public involvement make him a super qualified individual to serve in this commission. It is no wonder that he has been selected as a finalist.
